Joseph A. Abraham, Sr. 

 

Joseph A. Abraham, Sr. passed away on Sunday, 9/14/03, at 11:06 AM.  Joseph was in the 702nd Tank Battalion in Company “B”.  His rank was Technician 5th Grade.  He was an assistant Tank Driver and a .30 cal machine gunner.  He served in France, Germany, and the Belgium Bulge Campaigns.  He was awarded the “Purple Heart” for his service to God and Country.  Joseph was born on August 18, 1924 in New Salem PA.  He married Hilda Rose Bauer, whose brother William J. Bauer also served in the same Company.  William was also awarded the “Purple Heart”.   He served as a private.  William also passed away in 1992.

 

Rest in peace Joe, your battles are done.  Thank you for serving your fellow man.  We salute you.
