Joseph De Laurentis
Co. A, 702nd Tank Battalion Red Devils

Joe De Laurentis before the war, with his trusty trumpet in hand!
Sgt. Joseph De Laurentis was killed in action at the Our River crossing. For a full account of that action, please see the following article. Joe was a very well liked Italian American kid from Philadelphia. He was a talented musician. His ability with a saxophone was much appreciated by his fellow band-members in the 702nd Tank Battalion Red Devil's band, according to Tom Barry (also of A Company, and another "Philly Kid") Joe left behind a family, a fiancé and many friends who miss him to this very day.

An unknown member of the Red Devils, presumably from A Company, 702nd Tank Battalion. Joe had sent this photo home of one of his buddies.
