702nd Tank Battalion Reunion 2007

2007 Reunion-September 21st & 22nd, 2007 at the Eisenhower Inn and Conference Center, 2634 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, Pa.  As I stated previously, the attendance by our comrades has dropped immensely.  Only 15 attended last year.  The balance of 65 was honorary members, wives of deceased comrades, and guests.  They all paid their fees and were proud to attend.

Received a letter from George Williams that he, Peggy, Dottie and George will not do the reunion in the future.

A decision will be discussed and voted on at our annual business meeting.  This may be our last one.  Please try to attend and help us make a proper decision.  Age, health, and finances prevent some from attending.

Please mail or call in your reservations soon.  The deadline is approaching.

Treasurer, George Williams mailed the agenda weeks ago.  I am also including the agenda with this mailing.

I only received notices of six deaths since last year.  William D. Crone, B Co. 12-23-06, Richard M. Kincade, A Co. 08-19-06, Harry C. Lane, Service Company 01-28--05, Jack O'Donnell, A Co. 09-26-06, Clark F. Shaulis, C & A Co. 01-05-05, Captain Bruce Johnson, A Company Commander.  We extend our sympathies and condolences to their families.  God bless our fallen Red Devils.

Also thanks to Fred Riley and Tom Barry for representing the "Red Devils" at the 80th Infantry Division Memorial Dedication in Fort Benning, Georgia in September 2006.

Hospitality Room

The Battalion will not be providing the lunch on Saturday.  There will be salads and Barbeque provided by individuals.  Please bring something to add to the luncheon or Hospitality Room.

Friday 9-21-07

Registration in the Lobby from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.  Fees are $50 per person, plus $10 dues.  Hospitality Room will be open from 10:00AM to 10:00PM in the Stillwell Room.  Dinner at 6:00PM in the Stillwell Room (unless other room opens).

Saturday 9-22-07

Hospitality Room will be open from 10:00AM to 4:30PM.  Registration in the Lobby from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.  Fees are $30 per person, plus $10 dues. (Webmaster Note: These fees only apply to persons arriving on this date.  Persons who arrived on Friday and paid their fees then are exempted).  Annual Business Meeting at 2:30PM in the Bradley Room.  Memorial Service at 6:15PM in the Bradley Room.  Cash Bar at 6:30PM in the McArthur/Patton Room.  Banquet at 7:00PM in the McArthur/Patton Room.  Socializing from 9:00 to 11:00PM.
