Thanks to our good friend, Col. "Slim" Rives, former Lieutenant of Company B, 702nd Tank Battalion "Red Devils" we have the following photos! "Slim" was one of the most popular officers in B Company, and was greatly admired and respected by the enlisted men and officers alike. He still is. Col. Rives recently surprised me with a large packet of photos and documents he'd saved since the war. I have already posted the battle plans recently, for the 80th Division's assault of the Seille River crossing in France, and the final battle for Farebersviller, France. There are other documents, which volunteers are currently working to transcribe, that I will post as soon as they are ready. I wish to thank "Slim" Rives for his great contribution to the historical record! |
