General Patton Memorial Museum Ettelbruck
|
More than 1000 photographs and documents bear witness to the German invasion of May 1940, the period of occupation of the Grand Duchy, and the liberation of the country by American troops in September 1944. A second part of the museum shows numerous weapons, parts of arms and equipment that was discovered and/or excavated in the recent past on the Ardennes battlefields. Another section of the museum is dedicated to the aerial war and battles in the skies over Luxembourg. The people of Luxembourg have always been good friends to the Americans and have stood tall above all other European nations in showing their appreciation for being liberated from Nazi tyranny. I highly recommend this website! If you should travel to Europe, be sure to visit these nice people! |
