The Independence, Missouri International Association Of Fire Fighters Annual Country Music Benefit was the second show that I did for Jessie Janes Productions.  The proceeds of the show benefited the widows and children of firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty.  The show took place in the R.L.D.S. Auditorium.  Since we were limited to the lower level, it was a packed house.  The headline act was the Thrasher Brothers, made famous by the many television show theme songs they'd written, as well as many performances on their own.  The opening act, and accompaniment for the Thrasher Brothers was the Down Yonder Band.  This was the Down Yonder Band's first show in this large of a venue, and they performed flawlessly!  This was also the first of many times we worked with Down Yonder.  It was a great show.  I was badly at a disadvantage for camera equipment again, but managed with what I had.  This show also resulted in my third newspaper story being published.

 

The Thrasher Brothers put on a lively show, and were a great bunch of guys!
