Normandy 2011
|
Recently, Ken and his family made a return trip to Normandy. The trip was mostly a personal trip this year, but Ken took Jack's Jeep "Little Wolf" along so that Jack could get some practice driving. While there, the good French people of Le Tronquay held a ceremony to honor the men of the Big Red One, the US 1st Infantry Division, who liberated their village near Bayeux in 1944. Following the ceremony, Jack's Jeep was drafted to give these old WW2 Veterans one more ride through Normandy in a US WW2 Jeep. The Veterans were thrilled at the opportunity. Jack and Ken were honored to provide this small thrill to such distinguished guests. |
